Meet Mike Haszto
A life in stories, sports, and song.
An Islip, Long Island native now living in North Ridgeville, Ohio, Mike first published in 2007 with the poetry collection Of Dampness and Dreams. His early novels grew from radio industry experiences, creating WVVV in Radio Free Mickey and Life on Side B.
His work soon expanded into the Chatham family suspense saga, coming-of-age fiction, baseball, romantic suspense, and the apocalyptic science fiction world of Floaties.
A longtime hockey goaltender and youth coach, Mike also rides more than 3,000 miles each year through the Great Cycle Challenge for childhood cancer research. He is a devoted New York sports fan and a Jimmy Buffett Parrothead since 1977.
